Tapewriter (Audio Transcription Specialist)

ACN is accepting applications for tapewriters (audio tape transcription specialists). Please complete the following form and press the “Confirm Entries >>” button when done. All received information will be handled confidentially. Prerequisite: sufficient professional experience in performing audio tape transcriptions.

In addition to the above prerequisite, candidates applying from outside Japan must hold a bank account in Japan to receive payments. Only aliens residing in Japan and intending to remain in Japan for a period of greater than one year (“residents” under the tax code) may apply. Unless registered as a translation company, tax will be withheld at the source (10%) for all freelancers. A certificate of income and withholding tax will be sent during January to all registered translators who received payment for work performed between January 1 and December 31 of the previous year.

Note: ACN also accepts tapewriter applications via email in addition to this form. If you prefer to apply via email, note your details directly in the message body - do NOT provide details in a file attachment.
